 AUGUSTA - Richard H. "Dick" McCrossin, 76, of Augusta, went to meet his maker on April 8, 2013, after a long illness. He was born June 20, 1936, in Wade, the son of Henry and Ada McCrossin. He is survived by three sisters, Carol Stockley of Houlton, Paula Clark of Houlton, and Beverly LaPoint of Augusta; three children, Eugene MCrossin of Maine, Cheri and husband, Mike Dejohn and Beth and husband, Frank Long, both of Jacksonville, N.C.; three grandchildren Appolina Michaud, Erin Long, Amanda Munn; and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by grandson, Joshua Munn.
 He graduated from Caribou High School in 1954 and entered the armed forces for eight years. Upon discharge he attended college at University of Maine at Presque Isle, graduating with a bachelor's degree, and the University of Maine at Portland-Gorham, with a master's degree. He taught mathematics at junior high, high school, vocational and college levels. After teaching, he worked for Central Maine Power Company and Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company, retiring in 1999. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Washburn Blue Lodge 190, and Anah Temple of Bangor. One of his life passions was fishing and he would annually go trout fishing in Canada. He also loved to play golf. He was so very appreciative of the wonderful care he received at Harold Alfond Cancer Care Center.
 Internment services will be held July 19, at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harold Alfond Center, 361 Old Belgrade Road, Augusta, ME 04330. Condolences may be made at www.FuneralAlternatives.net. SO MOTE IT BE.
