CLIVE M. BARSTOW
UNITY -- Clive M. Barstow, 57, of Albion Road, died Monday, Oct. 19, 1981, in a Waterville hospital following a long illness. He was born in Freedom, Feb. 27, 1924, the son of George and Cora (Minard) Barstow. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. For many years he owned and operated a poultry farm in Unity and Bea's Greenhouse. He was a member of the Northern New England Carpenters and Millwright Union Local No. 621. He was also a member of the Star in the West Masonic Lodge in University. He is survived by his wife, Bernese (Bea) Barstow of Unity; three sons, Bryan of Los Angeles, Calif., Kerry and Rodney, both of El Toro, Calif.; his mother, Cora (McFarland) of Freedom and stepfather, Benson McFarland of Freedom; one brother, Clair Barstow of Mexico; two sisters, Roberta Prouty of Veazie and Ruth Scott of Bangor; two step-brothers, Benson McFarland, Jr. of Pemaquid and Paul McFarland of Albion; two stepsisters, Helen Pottle and Louise Higgins both of Albion; two grandsons, David and Steven Barstow of South Windsor, Conn.; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main Street, Fairfield, where friends may call 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Friends who wish may make donations in his memory to the Winnicook Christian Chapel, care of Lawry Brothers Funeral Home.
