Cortney Ervin Wheeler, 37, of East Hartford and formerly of Ellington, passed away at his home Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016.
Born in Manchester, the son of Scott Wheeler, of Chester, South Carolina, and Erva Jean Luginbuhl, of Ellington, he grew up and lived in Ellington before moving to East Hartford. He attended Ellington High School and was a carpenter by trade. He loved music and playing his guitar. His family loves him and will miss him dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Ella; his brother, Quenton Wheeler, and his wife, Heather, of Tolland; his niece and nephew, Brianna and Austin Wheeler, of Tolland; his paternal grandmother, Elois J. Wheeler, of Vernon; his stepmother, Irma Wheeler, of Chester; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Ervin and Viola Luginbuhl; his paternal grandfather, Harry L. Wheeler, and his aunt, Patricia C. Koehler.
Funeral services and burial are private and at the convenience of his family. Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home in Vernon is caring for the arrangements.
