Shirley married Bryce Allen Merry, son of John Herbert Merry Jr. and Florence Winona West, on 22 Feb 1969 in Phoenix, AZ. The marriage ended in divorce. (Bryce Allen Merry was born on 30 Jan 1947 in ME and died on 21 Nov 2018.)

PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Bryce A. Merry of Belfast, Maine, exchanged wedding vows with Shirley Leinen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Victor A. Leinen of Phoenix, Feb. 22, at the Phoenix Wedding Chapel.
The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. John W. Montayne and John H. Merry Jr. of Belfast, Maine.
The bride wore a white organdy over white lace gown, Spanish designed.
The wedding reception followed at the bride's parents' home.
