Camden Man Charged with Manslaughter
BELFAST, Sept. 20 -- (AP) Libeus E. Wardwell, 65, Camden, was held for grand jury action today on a manslaughter charge growing out of the motor accident death of Mrs. Lillian Stevens Raven, 19, of Thorndike.
Mrs. Raven died early today of injuries received in an accident in Knox last Friday. Wardwell was driver of a car involved, State Trooper Roland Faulkingham alleged.
Wardwell pleaded not guilty and to charges of reckless driving and passing a stop sign, but Municipal Court Judge L. Ernest Thornton found probably cause.

MRS. LILLIAN RAVEN
BELFAST, Sept. 20 -- Mrs. Lillian Raven, 19, wife of Lawrence Raven, of Thorndike, and mother of three children, who was critically injured in an automobile accident in Knox a few days ago, died yesterday in the Waldo county hospital, where she had been taken after the accident. Her brother-in-law, Harold Raven, of Brooks, who was also in the accident, is said to be improving.

Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter, Pays $500 Fine
Libeus B. Wardwell of Camden, indicted on three counts, was arraigned today on the charge of manslaughter, this case growing out of the automobile accident in which Mrs. Lillian Raven later died.
Wardwell pleaded guilty to the charge of manslaughter, and paid a fine of $500. The other two counts of reckless driving and passing a stop sign, were not brought up today.
