HOULTON - Randy Wayne Holmes born December 27,1957 to Walter and Marjorie (Campbell) Holmes in Bangor, Me. He went peacefully to his heavenly home on November 4, 2021.
Randy graduated from Hodgdon High School in 1976. He worked several different jobs but spent most of his career employed in banking. Working many of his earlier years in Caribou and later years in Belfast. His true passion was his ministry of music with his family. He traveled for many years throughout New England and Canada as a part of the Walter Holmes family gospel music group playing the bass guitar and harmonica.
Randy had a happy go lucky disposition with a big heart and gave big hugs. His love for the Lord was his true testimony. Randy came from a large family and enjoyed being with people and especially enjoyed children. At most gatherings he could be found loving on the babies and children.
He is survived by his two children, which he adored, his son, Tyler Holmes of Belfast. His daughter, Tiffany (Holmes) Marshall and her husband Scott of Swanville. Randy was blessed with 3 beautiful grandchildren Brynley Marshall, Daxton Marshall, and Grayden Marshall. His sister-in-law Connie Holmes of Canada, and his siblings Tim (Vanessa) Holmes of Hermon, Rick (Sara) Holmes of Houlton, Ralph (Chantelle) Holmes of Eddington, Dan Holmes of Glenburn, Peter (Belinda) Holmes of Houlton, Wanda (Gary) StPeter of Corinth, Chris (Katie) Holmes of Houlton. And many nieces and nephews. Also, his cousin Steve (Patricia) Johndro of Caribou.
He was predeceased by his parents and oldest brother Terry Holmes. His paternal grandparents Angeline and Walter Holmes Sr of Limestone and his maternal grandparents Waymen and Elsie Campbell of Bath NB, Canada.
A Celebration service will be held at Brooks Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021. It was Randy's desire to have a graveside committal service officiated by Rev. Kevin Kierstead at Hodgdon Cemetery which will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2021. Friends and family are invited to attend.
