Mattawamkeag \emdash Martha Claire Elizabeth Martin passed on January 10, 2025, after a courageous battle.
In front of everything Martha liked to rock in her rocking chair all her life. She loved to listen to music. She worked hard on her flower garden which looked great at times of blossom. She loved to travel and she enjoyed her football with the boys.
She leaves behind her husband, Christopher; sons, Philip, Adam, Michael, and Justin; and numerous grandchildren, brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and countless friends.
Martha was a deeply caring and loving person that accepted all of life's challenges. From the time she was born, March 21, 1954, in Williston Park, NY, to East Greenwich, RI, to Mansfield MA, to Zephyrhills, FL, to Laplace, LA, to Mattawamkeag, ME, she touched and changed lives. She had deep love for her family, children and grandchildren. She went out of her way to help others. Martha loved her four well rounded sons and nurtured them to face the world. Her mama bear mentality was challenged only by her dedication for her work. Her patient and loving spirit will be surely missed.
Friends may call Friday, January 17, from 9-11 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in East Millinocket, with a Mass of Christian burial being held at 11 a.m. with Father Joel Cyr officiating.
