UNITY - Sandrea Helene (Seibert) Raven went to meet her Lord on Aug. 23, 2017, at Mount St. Joseph's Residence & Rehabilititation in Waterville.
She was born June 25, 1940, to Arline (Gakeler) and William Seibert, in Hartford, Conn., and raised in Coventry until she married Robert E. Raven in Manchester, Conn., on Aug. 2, 1958.
She was a homemaker and also worked in the past in the strawberry fields, a Pittsfield nursing home, beside her husband at their chicken farm in Burnham, at Ethan Allen and Pride Manufacturing.
She was a member of the Deeper Life Assembly in Pittsfield and The Extension Club and Pittsfield Senior Center.
She and Bob were avid campers, proud members of the Good Sam's Club, and made many friends at their camp sites. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends. She liked to bowl in the Coffee League and was known for her homemade macaroni and cheese.
Sandy was predeceased by her parents; and granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Mitchell. She is survived by her husband, Robert Raven, a resident of Glen Ridge Nursing home in Augusta; a daughter, Patricia R. Smith, and boyfriend Thomas Armsworthy; son, Michael L. Raven, and fiancée Nancy Morrell; and son, Timothy W. Raven, all of Unity. She has six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She also has one sister, Sheila, and her husband Christopher Chiarizio, of Tolland, Conn.; one brother, Dennis, and wife Maria Seibert, of Sebring, Fla.; many special in-laws, and cherished nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 30, from noon-2 p.m. at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. that day, followed by the burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Freedom, and then gathering at Mike's home at 878 Waning Rd. in Unity. All are welcome. Sandrea married Robert Edward Raven, son of Lawrence Edward "Bug" Raven and Lillian May Stevens, on 2 Aug 1958 in Manchester, CT. (Robert Edward Raven was born on 29 Jun 1937 in Knox, ME, died on 31 Dec 2018 in Augusta, ME and was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Freedom, ME.)
