CARMEL - John Christopher Butterfield, 62, died peacefully in his sleep September 25, 2015, at his home in Carmel after a yearlong battle with cancer. John was born December 22, 1952 in Danforth, the son of Ralph and Ruth Butterfield.
John attended East Grand in Danforth. John worked for many years in the logging industry but it was later in life that he found his true calling in trucking. He loved the long distance hauls, especially those that took him to the west coast.
Surviving John, are his wife of 32 years, Pamla Butterfield of Carmel; his mother, Ruth of Carmel, sisters Cynthia and James Pare of Deland, Florida; Laura and Michael Huff of Carmel and Lisa Belyea of Carmel, children: Lee Kelley, and Rae, of Ellsworth, John and Priscilla Butterfield of Lincoln, California, Jannet Meister of Carmel, and Amy Butterfield of Durham, North Carolina; his grandchildren Keaghun, Brianna, Taylor, Brady, Harper, Casey, Aspen and Bennett. John was predeceased by his father Ralph and sister Karole.
At John's request, there will not be funeral services at this time.
