CUMBERLAND -- Juanita L. Raven, 47, of 318 Main St. and the wife of John H. Raven, died Tuesday morning in a Portland hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born May 25,1926, in Portland, she was the daughter of Arthur and Mary Crouse Bowie and attended Portland Schools, as well as the Providence, R.I., Bible School. She moved to Cumberland 21 years ago and had resided here since.
Mrs. Raven was active in the Faith Baptist Church, North Yarmouth, local Boy Scout and Cub Scout activities, and the 4-H Club.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her father, Arthur Bowie of Cumberland; two sons, Darryl J. and James E. Raven of Cumberland; four daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Dianne) Wheeler Jr. and Mrs. Charles (Joyce) Dillow, both of Portland, and the Misses Marilyn J. and Wendy E. Raven of Cumberland; two half-brothers, Russell Bowie of Cumberland and Everett Bowie of Ohio; and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Faith Baptist Church in North Yarmouth, wither interment in Blanchard Cemetery, West Falmouth.
