SAAVEDRA. In Worcester, Mass. Rudolph J. Saavedra of 76 Webster St., Hartford, husband of Ellen (Byrne) Saavedra, died at Worcester City Hospital. He was born in California and had resided in Hartford many years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, John Saavedra of Hartford and Geoffrey Saavedra of California; a step-son, Douglas Stewart of Simsbury; a daughter, Diane Saavedra of Hartford, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, 11 a.m., at Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 96 Webster St., Hartford. Burial will be in Soldier's Field, Northwood Cemetery, Wilson. There are no calling hours.

Rudolph married Carlene Ida Gordon, daughter of Walter Carl Gordon Sr. and Bernice Eloise Merry, on 4 Mar 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri, United States.
