Kendall A. Thomas, 59, of Auburn, Maine passed away unexpectedly at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on 12/29/2021. Kendall was a loving partner, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He grew up in Brooks, Maine where he graduated from Mount View High School in 1981. After high school, he went to Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, graduating in 1983 with a specialization in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
Kendall was predeceased by his father, Dale A. Thomas and he is survived by his mother Beatrice A. Thomas; his fiancé Valerie Patterson; his daughter Melissa Root and her husband Mike Root; Valerie's daughters, "his girls," Nicole and Brittany Johnson and their partners Meredith Morrison and Dana Banks; his grandchildren Avery and Adeline Root, Oliver Banks, and Finnegan Morrison; his brothers Dale A. Thomas Jr. and wife Patsy, James J. Thomas and wife Catherine, and Jonathan A. Thomas; his nieces and nephews Dale A. Thomas III, Alexandria Thomas, Austyn Thomas, and Jonathan Thomas II.
Kendall worked for New England Crane and was a proud member of the Saracens MC. He was a man of many interests that included riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing, forging knives, and leather working. He was an avid reader and collected antique cars, with a particular love for mustangs. He adored being "Grampy" and sharing his love for the outdoors with his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers at his family hunting camp in Troy, Maine, his camp in Naples with his family, and in the woods Squatchin'.
Visiting hours will be held at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home in Lewiston, Maine on January 15th, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a private family funeral to be held at 2:30 pm.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a ride!"
