BUCKSPORT -- Bonnie L. Sullivan-McCafferty, 48, died at her home in Bucksport, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Oct. 6, 1955, in Castine, the daughter of Donald and Floris (Ginn) Sullivan of Orland.
Bonnie was a 1974 graduate of Bucksport High School. She and her fiancé, Richard Young of Westbrook, resided half of the year in Bucksport and half of the year in Westbrook. Bonnie enjoyed painting, crafting, singing, working on the golf course, sitting with her seven cats, and visiting with her mother and sisters.
Bonnie leaves her mother, Floris Sullivan of Orland; her fiancé, Richard Young and his son, Andy, of Westbrook; her three sisters, Joan Hawes and husband, Larry, of Bucksport, Sherry Moulton and husband, Carl, of Bucksport, and Nancy Schreiber and husband, Carl Jr., of Hermon; her brother-in-law, Dale Keyes of Bucksport; God-sons, Jeffrey Moulton of Bangor, and Tanner Bishop of Bucksport; special aunt, Imogene Ginn of Bucksport; seven nieces; three nephews; five grandnieces; three grandnephews; many cousins. Bonnie also leaves her best friend, Wendy Findlay of Orland; and friend, Greg Underhill of Hudson. Bonnie was predeceased by her father, Donald Sullivan; grandparents, Geneva and Leon Ginn; and her beloved sister, Linda Keyes.
Visitation for family and friends will be 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A service of remembrance will be held 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at the Orland United Methodist Church, Orland, with the Rev. Dr. Tracy Reeves officiating. Spring interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Orland. A gathering of conversation and refreshment will immediately follow the service in the church parish hall.
