Rhoda Ann (Kimball) Woodbury passed away peacefully on September 3, 2012 at her home in Alexandria, VA after a long illness. Rhoda was born on June 30, 1935 in Bangor, Maine to Lena Jenny (Norton) and Marion Leonard Kimball, Sr. After her marriage to Leon Maynard Woodbury in 1950, Rhoda lived for much of her life within Waldo County, raising a family of 5 children and focusing mainly on being a homemaker. Along with that, she was an avid craftsperson in a variety of methods. She was particularly fond of quilting and needlework. She especially loved hummingbirds and at the place she shared with her husband in Swanville, ME, she had several hummingbird feeders and delighted in the visitors that came to use them. After her children were grown, Rhoda earned her CNA and was employed at TallPines in Belfast for many years. Rhoda and Leon spent winters in central Florida and summers in Swanville, Maine, together for many years. Following Leon's death in 2001, Rhoda returned to Maine for a last summer before moving to Florida full-time. While in Florida, she doted on the company of her dog companions, Buffy and Munchkin, and became an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Umatilla, including as a volunteer employee at the Church's Thrift Store. Rhoda had been living in Eustis and shared an apartment with her eldest daughter, Cheryl, there. Following the death of her daughter in May of 2011, she relocated to Alexandria, VA in November of 2011 to live with her youngest daughter, Rossita Rivera, and granddaughter Isabella, until the time of her passing. Rhoda was predeceased by her husband (Leon), one son, Terry Leon Woodbury and one daughter, Cheryl Lee Boyington. She is survived by two daughters, Rossita Rivera of Alexandria, VA and Lucinda McGinn of Westbrook, ME and one son, Errol Woodbury of Brunswick, ME. She also leaves behind two sisters, Nesta Ross of Newburg, ME and Rita Clair of Orland, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorial arrangements will be private. She will be interred at Harmony Place in Monroe with her husband.

Rhoda married Leon Maynard Woodbury, son of Omar Linwood Woodbury and Hazel Faye Raven, on 14 Jun 1950 in Carmel, Penobscot, Maine, United States. (Leon Maynard Woodbury was born on 20 Mar 1929 in Brooks, Waldo, Maine, United States, died on 24 Apr 2001 in Altoona, Lake, Florida, United States and was buried in Harmony Place Cemetery, Monroe, Waldo, Maine, United States.)
