MECHANIC FALLS- Chelsea Sesto Raven, 35, passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion that touched the lives of all who knew her. (The space between where you smile and hide is where you'll find me if I get to go -The space between DMB). Chelsea was a radiant presence who made everyone feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. Her warmth, playful spirit, and generous heart made her not only the light of the family, but a beacon of kindness to so many in her life and work.
She was the devoted and loving mother of two young sons, Evan and Eli , who were the center of her world. (It soars inside my soul because of you, all that innocence that you inspire. You know you are as heaven intended you -Cornbread DMB). Her love for them was boundless, and she brought joy, silliness, and endless encouragement into their lives. Chelsea earned her Master's Degree in social work and dedicated her career to helping others. She served as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Lead Supervisor for the Spurwink ACT team in Portland. Her work reflected her deep empathy, strength, and unwavering commitment to supporting those in need. She had a rare gift for making others feel special, offering love without condition and support without hesitation. Her laughter was contagious, her hugs healing, and her impact immeasurable. She leaves behind a grieving but grateful family and community who will continue to feel her love and remember her light. (Let the love in there, there's bad times, but that's OK just look for love in it and don't burn the day away -Pig DMB).
Chelsea was predeceased by her father, Tom Sesto, and mother Barrie Walter.
She is survived by her precious sons, Evan and Eli Raven, and their father Zach; sister, Jill Smith (Jordan), (The way I used to laugh with you was loud and hard -stay or leave DMB), and their daughter Alice; brother, Alec Sesto (Audrey) and their children, Etta and Gus; her loving fiancé, Casey Chick (You and I, we're not tied to the ground. Not falling, but rising, like rolling around -You and me DMB); and his daughter Emily; as well as countless other close relatives and friends, colleagues, and clients whose lives were made better by knowing her.
(Don't wanna say goodbye to you, summer always ends too soon. -Virginia in the rain DMB). A celebration of Chelsea's life will be held at Fort Williams Park on June 22nd at 4pm, 1000 Shore Rd., Cape Elizabeth. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a gofundme to raise funds for her boys education and needs. Arrangements are under the care of Oxford Hills Funeral Services, 1037 Main St., Oxford.
