GIGGIE. Ruth J. (Holmes) Giggie, 70, of Pascal Lane, Manchester, wife of the late Cedric Giggie, died Sunday (July 31, 1994) at a local convalescent home. She was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Fort Fairfield, Maine, and had been a resident of Manchester since 1956. Ruth is survived by a son and daughter- in-law, Ronald and Barbara Giggie of Andover; three brothers, Max Holmes of East Windsor, Graham Holmes of Florida, and William Holmes of East Windsor; four sisters, Bertha Calabrese of West Hartford, Maxine Manfreda of Windham, Helen Fisher of Standish, Maine, and Nancy LaPine of Florida; two grandsons, Bruce and Mark Giggie of Andover; numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Aug. 8, 1994, 10 a.m., at St. Bridget's Church, 80 Main St., Manchester. Burial is private at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 253 E. Center St., Manchester 06040. Ho lmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester, has care of arrangements.

Ruth married Cedric Louis Giggie, son of William Lester Giggie and Elizabeth Catherine "Lizzie" Hitchcock, on 22 Oct 1940 in Fort Fairfield, Aroostook, Maine, United States.
