IRENE JOYCE PRENTICE
NORTH MONTVILLE -- Irene Joyce Prentice, 68, died Sept. 13, 1985, at a Waterville hospital. She was born in Montville, Oct. 26, 1916, the daughter of Lloyd and Hazel (Hall) Clark. She was the wife of the late Harold Prentice. She was a member of the OES of Thorndike, a charter member of the Downeast Good Sam Club, a member of the 3W's in Freedom and had been active in many civic affairs. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Miller of Bingham and Nancy McCafferty of North Searsmont; one sister, Glenice Glidden of Chester, Va.; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Clark Roland Abbott. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Freedom Congregational Church. Friends who wish may make donations in her memory to the Freedom Church, Freedom. Arrangements by the Rackliffe Funeral Home, Belfast.

Irene married Roland Charles Abbott, son of Charles Sumner Abbott and Etta May Raven, on 19 Mar 1935 in Montville, Waldo, Maine, United States.
