BEULAH COLBY
TOPSHAM -- Beulah Colby, 56, of 9 Green St., died Sunday, March 23, 1980, at her home. Mrs. Colby was born Oct. 25, 1923, in Harmony, the daughter of Theodore and Ola (Leavitt) Leavitt. She attended schools in Bangor. She moved here in 1949 where she was employed by the former Smart's Nursing Home as a medication nurse for 12 years. Mrs. Colby married C.W. Colby in 1959. She is survived by her husband of Topsham; a son, Kelly K. Colby to Topsham; a stepson, Robert W. Colby of Buffalo, N.Y.; three daughters, Glenda Basinet of Bowdoin, Mona St. Pierre and Penny Colby, both of Topsham; a step-daughter, Jaqueline Toth of Brunswick; a brother, Dennis Leavitt of Newburgh; a sister, Glenys Pomeroy of Orono; four grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Maine division, Box 456, Brunswick, Maine 04011. Arrangements by the Stetson Funeral Home, Brunswick.
