BROOKS -- Wallace C. Humphrey, 53, died Nov. 6, 1990, at his residence in Brooks. He was born in Winterport, Sept. 8, 1937, the son of Percy and Eliza (Lamphier) Humphrey. He served in the U. S. Army for three years. He was employed at the Belfast Moosehead Lake Railroad in Belfast for 21 years. He was a member of the American Legion of Brooks, the Marsh River Lodge of Masons of Brooks, and had been an avid sportsman. He is survived by his parents of Brooks; his wife, Hazel (Ravin) Humphrey of Brooks; two daughters, Stephanie and her husband, Dale Cross of Morrill and Shannon Farrington of Brooks; two brothers, Arthur and his wife, Susan Humphrey of Brooks, and Dennis Humphrey of Brookline, Mass.; four sisters, Phyllis and her husband, David Gaul of Belfast, Helen and her husband, Ashbury Marden, of Brooks; Althea and her husband, Marlow Turner, of Brooks, and Geraldine Wood of York, Pa.; two grandchildren, Aaron and Caitlin Cross; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at the Rackliffe Funeral Home, 22 Church St., Belfast 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Brooks Congregational Church, with the Rev. Cheryl Stewart officiating. Interment will be in Kinney Cemetery, Brooks. Memorial donations may be made to the Brooks Ambulance Service, Brooks 04921.
