DIXFIELD -- Clarence "Pat" Evans Sr., 49, of 6 Dix Ave., died Feb. 10, 1992, at a Waterville Hospital after a long illness. He was born at Portage Lake, July 15, 1942, the son of Clarence and Ruth (Argent) Evans. He was employed by W.H Shurtleff & Co. as a truck driver. He served in Vietnam with the U.S. Army and was a member of Benevolent Lodge of Masons in Carmel. He married Beulah Linnell in 1985. In addition of his wife in Dixfield, he is survived by three sons, Clarence P. Evans Jr. of Kenduskeag, Norman A. Linnell of Clinton and Waldo W. Linnell of Fairfield; three brothers, Chester Holland of Old Town, Linwood Evans of California and Fred Holland of Bangor; three sisters, Beatrice Orcutt and Dotty Smith, both of Carmel, and Tina Harmon of Etna; seven grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There will be no visiting hours and a memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Redington Funeral Home, 5 Park St., Waterville, with the Rev. Andrew Kane of Oakland and members of the Benevolent Lodge of Masons of Carmel officiating. Spring burial will be in Village Cemetery, North Vassalboro.
