BELFAST \emdash  Leroy Elmer Thomas, 82, passed away on Oct. 18, 2023.
 Leroy was born March 7, 1941, and graduated in 1959 from Walker High School in Liberty and the Hanson Barber School in Lewiston. He ran the Thomas Barber Shop in the Post Office Square, Belfast, for over 40 years. He belonged to the Masons for 50-plus years as a member of Phoenix Lodge #0024 in Belfast. For several years he was an assistant Boy Scout Leader for Troop #35 in Searsmont.
 Leroy was predeceased by his parents, Leroy M. and Eva Thurston Thomas; his grandparents, Norman and Carrie Blake Thomas and Elmer and Inez Thurston; his in-laws, Henry and Selena Carson Littlefield; and brothers-in-law, Eugene and Wilda Littlefield and Warren Littlefield.
 Surviving him are his loving wife of 59 years, Beverly Littlefield Thomas; two sons and their wives, Randall and Pamela White Thomas and Robert and Angelia Hutchins Thomas; seven grandchildren, Nathanael, Aaron (Abbey), Noah (Megan), Hushai (Brooke), Victoria Wooster (Jake), Sariah and Emma; great-grandson, Bryson; brothers-in-law, Maurice (Julia) Littlefield and Gary (Viola) Littlefield; sister-in-law, Gloria Littlefield; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
 There will be a memorial service on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 297 Belmont Ave. (Route 3), Belfast.
