BELFAST -- Harry E. Dyer, 56, died Aug. 13 in Belfast. He was born in Belfast, Nov. 30, 1920, son of Edgar W. and Blanche (Small) Dyer. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. For the past 27 years, he had been a station operator at the Little River Pumping Station of the Belfast Water District. He was a member of the Northport Post and the Randall Collins Post VFW, the Tarratine Tribe of Redmen, the Frank D. Hazeltine Post of the American Legion and for over 20 years a member of the Belfast Fire Dept. He is survived by his wife, Florence (Raven) Dyer of Belfast; two sons, Harry, Jr. and Harold C. both of Belfast; two brothers, Lewis and Robert Dyer both of Belfast; two grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m. at the Rackliffe Funeral Home, with Rev. Lewis Cushman officiating. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Belfast. Visiting hours at the funeral home, Monday, 2 to 4, 7 to 8 p.m.
