OXBOW -- Beatrice L. Whipple, 75, died May 2, 1984, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born in Fort Fairfield, Oct. 8, 1908, the daughter of Earl and Amanda (Hendrickson) Fitzsimmons. She is survived by her husband, Fred L. Whipple of Oxbow; three sons, Herbert Sullivan of Masardis, Richard Whipple and Frederick Whipple, both of Oxbow; one daughter, Charlotte Morrison of Worcester, Mass.; four brothers, Harold Fitzsimmons of Togus, Floyd Fitzsimmons and Herbert Fitzsimmons, both of Limestone, Jim Fitzsimmons of Florida; five sisters, Evelyn Brown and Katherline Barkesy, both of Bridgeport, Conn., May of North Carolina, Donna Brawn of Orrington, Gretchen McGinn of Old Town; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Bonita Freeland, who died in 1968. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Stimson Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Morton officiating. Burial will take place in Willard Cemetery in Oxbow. Friends and relatives may call at Stimson Funeral Home, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. until time of services Saturday.

Beatrice married Frederick Laurence "Fred" Whipple Sr., son of William Roscoe Whipple and Hattie Eliza Carson, on 25 Nov 1946 in Ashland, Aroostook, Maine, United States.
