OXBOW PLANTATION -- Madeline H. Whipple, 82, died Aug. 28, 1990, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born in Sheridan, June 30, 1908, the daughter of Whitman and Elizabeth (McClaskey) Humphrey. She was a 1933 graduate of Washburn High School and graduated from the Eastern Academy Beauty School in Bangor in 1936. Mrs. Whipple was self-employed as a beautician for many years. She is survived by her husband, William G. Whipple of Oxbow; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald G. and Joan Whipple of Masardis and William R. and Joyce Whipple of Oxbow; four grandchildren, Cindy Craig, Dawn Whipple, Melody Grant and Robin Whipple; two great-grandchildren, Roger Craig and Crystal Grant. Relatives and friends may call at the Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, 37 Exchange St., Ashland, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 12 noon until time of services on Thursday. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas L. Caton officiating. Committal services and interment will be in Willard Cemetery, Oxbow.
