FREEPORT\emdash Clinton Emery Field, 66, of 43 Park St., a shoe worker, died Wednesday at the Veterans Hospital in Togus.
Mr. Field, who was employed at the L. L. Bean factory, came here 30 years ago from New Gloucester.
He was a veteran of World Wars I and II.
Mr. Field was born in Gray, April 14, 1898, son of Elias H. and Blanche Morey Field. He attended Gray school.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruby G. Field, and a son Clinton H. Field, both of Freeport; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Field, Brunswick; a brother, Leroy Field, Freeport; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Edwards, Bridgton, and Mrs. Elsie Edwards, Mechanic Falls; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at 123 Main St., Freeport, the Rev. Robert Johnson of Brunswick officiating. Burial in the Spring will be in Gray Cemetery.

Clinton married Ruby Geneva Merry, daughter of Herbert Leslie Merry and Selena Irene Raven, on 3 Dec 1942 in Columbia, Richland, South Carolina, United States.
