Ruby G. Field, 86, of Freeport, died Saturday, Oct 20, 1984, in a Brunswick hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Woodland, July 28, 1898, the daughter of Herbert and Selena (Raven) Merry.
She was educated in Woodland Schools and has lived in Freeport since 1936. She worked many years for several local shoe companies.
She is survived by three sons, Ralph Gordon of Unity, Harold Gordon of Freeport and Raymond Gordon of Belfast; daughter, Hazel Seekins of Freeport; step-son. Clinton H. Field of Freeport; step-daughter, Virginia Field of Douglasville, GA; one brother, John Merry of Bangor of Bangor; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at the Lindquist Funeral Home, Yarmouth. Burial was in Gray Village Cemetery.
