KNOX, May 26 -- Darius Hanson, 85, died Saturday evening at his residence here after a long illness.
He was born in Millville, N.B., June 15, 1871, son of Henry and Sylvania (Brewer) Hanson. He was the husband of the late Mary Ann Hanson. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Knox.
Surviving are three sons, Guy of Brooks, Wilmont of Monroe and Robert of Knox; one brother, Freeman, of Millville, N.B.; several grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the Knox Pentecostal Church Tuesday at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. Harold Haynes of the Brewer Pentecostal Church officiating.
Interment will be at Rose cemetery in Brooks.
Friends may call at the Brazier funeral home in Brooks Monday afternoon and evening.

Darius had a relationship with Ruby Geneva Merry, daughter of Herbert Leslie Merry and Selena Irene Raven. (Ruby Geneva Merry was born on 28 Jul 1898 in Woodland, Aroostook, Maine, United States, died on 20 Oct 1984 in Brunswick, Cumberland, Maine, United States and was buried in Gray Village Cemetery, Gray, Cumberland, Maine, United States.)
