• Obituary: Burlington Free Press, 14 May 2016, Burlington, VT. Annette Lee Boucher, age 54, passed away peacefully Monday, May 9, 2016. She was born October 26, 1961 to Linda Devoe and Joseph Wilcox. She was a long-time resident of Lewiston, Maine and was educated in Lewiston schools. Annette was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, Nana and friend, a kind and generous soul, a true angel among us. She always saw the good in everyone, and every situation. She had the most infectious laugh and a smile that lit up a room. She was truly unique, an eccentric yet simple woman who was always true to herself and her beliefs. She was wholesome and pure, surrounding herself with things that reflected her values. Annette will always be remembered for her quirkiness, but most of all, her selflessness, patience, unconditional love, and her need to care for everyone around her. She gave a perfect stranger the shoes off her feet because she didn't have any. She was so giving and never asked for anything in return. She loved God and was a member of the Community Bible Church of South Burlington, VT. Annette loved westerns and old classic movies, and sharing her passion for them with anyone who was willing to listen. She was incredibly gifted with arts and crafts. Her passions included embroidery, cross stitching, jewelry making, crocheting, and coloring. She aspired to one day turn her hobby into a business, something she had already inspired her youngest daughter to do. She loved nature, especially animals, but her greatest love was her family. A twin, she shared a unique and special bond with her sister and other half, Nanette. The two, created so differently, formed the perfect whole; one and not two souls. Together, with their younger sister Laurette, the three were known as "the Girls". "So often the Girls were one soul, rather than three," a reflection made by their older brother, Joe. She is survived by three children; a son, Mark Boucher Jr. and his wife Ursula of Burke, VA, a daughter Lisa McFadden and her husband Derek of Leeds, ME, and a daughter Elisa Smith and her husband Gary of Fort Worth, TX; eight grandchildren; Jacob Gauthier, Andrea Lis, Reiley Boucher, Michael Lis, Aiden McFadden, Tucker McFadden, Akhyla Smith and Brielle Smith; her parents; Linda Devoe of Burlington, VT and Joseph Wilcox of Woodland, ME; three siblings; a brother, Joseph Wilcox and his wife Anne of San Diego, CA, her twin sister, Nanette Atherton and her husband Howard of South Hero, VT, and a sister, Laurette Bellerive of Putnam, CT; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her stepmother, Rose Wilcox, and her brother-in-law, Michael Bellerive. Arrangements are in the care of the Cremation Society of Chittenden County.
