ASHLAND, EAST MACHIAS and LUBEC -- Mrs. Viola Carson, 55, died March 22, 1982, at a hospital in Nashua, N.H. She was born in Brewer Oct. 29, 1926, the daughter of Ernest and Viola (Pooler) McGuigan. She was a member of the American Legion Woman's Auxiliary of Ashland. She is survived by her husband, Henry of Lubec; three sons, Douglas and Robert, both of Ashland, and Thomas of Machias; two daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Victoria) McNally of Brookline, N.H., and Carolyn Carson of Suncook, N.H.; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Stimson Funeral Home, Ashland. Burial will be in the spring. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 12 noon until time of service Thursday.

Viola married Henry Smith Carson, son of Harry Edward Carson and Florence May Smith.
