ASHLAND, EAST MACHIAS and LUBEC -- Mrs. Viola Carson, 55, died March 22, 1982, at a hospital in Nashua, N.H. She was born in Brewer Oct. 29, 1926, the daughter of Ernest and Viola (Pooler) McGuigan. She was a member of the American Legion Woman's Auxiliary of Ashland. She is survived by her husband, Henry of Lubec; three sons, Douglas and Robert, both of Ashland, and Thomas of Machias; two daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Victoria) McNally of Brookline, N.H., and Carolyn Carson of Suncook, N.H.; three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Stimson Funeral Home, Ashland. Burial will be in the spring. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 12 noon until time of service Thursday. Viola married Henry Smith Carson, son of Harry Edward Carson and Florence May Smith. (Henry Smith Carson was born on 22 Aug 1927 in Houlton, ME,4 died on 11 Jun 2002 in Machias, ME and was buried in Ashland Municipal Cemetery, Ashland, ME.)
