WALTHOURSVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Steven A. Terra, Sr., age 45, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 29, 2008 at his home in Walthoursville, GA.
Born in Charlestown, SC, he was the son of Richard and Sharon Terra of Villas, NJ.
He resided on Aquidneck Island for most of his life. He then moved to Pennsylvania and Georgia.
Mr. Terra graduated from Portsmouth High School, Class of 1982. He later earned a degree in culinary arts and a bachelors in business management. Steven had achieved a master chef rating. He often said that the restaurant business was a love for him. He worked in and managed several fine dining establishments. Steve was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a devoted father to his children. He coached little league baseball and was proud of his team winning a championship season.
In addition to his parents, a daughter, Gigina Terra and a son, Steven A. Terra, Jr., two brothers, Richard J. and Chris Terra, four sisters, Tina James, Melanie Nusbaum, Peggy Toppa and Charlene Ralbovsky, survives him. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Honoring his request, relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside ceremony, Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Cemetery, Chestnut Street, Bristol.
Internment will be with his paternal grandmother.
