Michael Joseph Labbe, 71, of St. Agatha, died peacefully on May 9, 2025, at EMMC in Bangor. Born in Caribou on April 13, 1954, to Adrien and Nellie (Bolstridge) Labbe.
Mike attended Caribou schools, earned his physical education degree from the University of Maine at Presque Isle, and later, his graduate degree in educational leadership from the University of Southern Maine. While volunteering at the Christian Life Center, Mike met his future wife, Annette "Andie" Day. They married on July 9, 1982, and moved to St. Agatha, where they both taught in MSAD #33 for over 30 years. Mike was a physical education teacher, and Andie taught a variety of elementary grades. Mike enjoyed sports, especially golf and hockey, tinkering with computers, motorcycle riding, and spending time with family. Mike was an active member of St. Agatha Catholic Church, where he filled numerous duties as a lector, Eucharistic minister, and choir member. He also sang baritone in the Caribou Choral Society. Mike was known for his generosity and humor and will be sorely missed.
Mike is survived by his wife, Andie; daughters Haley (Labbe) Brown and her husband Timothy, and their daughter Amelia of Livermore; Kerry Hafford and her husband Bryan Willett of Brunswick; and son Christopher Labbe of St. Agatha.
Mike was predeceased by his parents, Adrien and Nellie Labbe, brother Frank Labbe, and infant sister, Pamela Labbe.
Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in St. Agatha, on June 10th at 10:00 AM. Family and friends may call at Michaud Funeral Home on June 9th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be no visiting hours before the Mass.
