HOLDEN - Randall D. Freeland, 53, of 439 Main St. died Sunday in The Medical Center of Central Massachusetts - Memorial, Worcester, after an illness.
His wife, Bonita L. (Whipple) Freeland, died in 1968. He leaves a daughter, Diana M. Freeland of Holden; his mother, Ruth (Hathaway) Freeland of Holden; a brother, Bruce H. Freeland of Spokane, Wash.; a sister, Cynthia J. Lloyd of West Boylston; nephews and nieces. His son, Dean R. Freeland of Holden, died in 1991. He was born in Worcester, son of Clifford M. Freeland, and lived here most of his life. He graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 1958. He served in the Army for several years.
Mr. Freeland worked for Meredith & Crew Management Co. in Worcester for several years. He previously worked for 23 years at Reed Rolled Thread Die Co. here.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St. Burial will be at a later date in Grove Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 5 to 8 tonight. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oncology Department, The Medical Center of Central Massachusetts - Memorial, 119 Belmont St., Worcester 01605.
