Retired Mail Carrier Dies At His Home
William W. Casey of 16 Davis Ave., Auburn, a retired Shoe City letter carrier, was found dead at his home last evening by a nephew, Ralph Fletcher of Auburn. Mr. Casey was 80.
Dr. M. S. F. Greene, county medical examiner was called and said death was due to a heart attack. It was believed Mr. Casey died earlier that day.
Mr. Casey was born June 6, 1872, the son of Robert E. and Frances Turner Casey. He came to Auburn as a young man and at that time he began his duties in the Auburn postoffice, retiring about 15 years ago. His wife, the former Ida Goodhue, died in 1946. Mr. Casey was a member of the Mail Carrier's Association.
Besides Ralph Fletcher, Mr. Casey is survived by another nephew, Harold Fletcher of Danville; and several cousins.

In Auburn, October 24, William W. Casey, age 80. Funeral from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son, Sunday, October 26 at 2 P.M. Interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery. Friends unable to attend the service may call at the chape Saturday evening.

The funeral of William W. Casey, 80, of 16 Davis Ave., retired mail carrier who was found dead in his home by a nephew, Ralph Fletcher, Auburn, Friday night, was held from the memorial chapel of Dillingham & Son, Sunday, with Rev. Frederick D. Hayes, officiating.
Interment was at Mount Auburn Cemetery. The bearers were Harold and Ralph Fletcher, Oscar Casey, Ernest Lane, Robert Owen and Carl Monk.
