PASADENA, Calif. \emdash Walter Sharp, 66, formerly of Fort Fairfield, died at a Pasadena hospital Thursday morning following a period of ill health.
Born in Presque Isle Oct. 23, 1900, he was the son of Jacob and Delia (Merrithew) Sharp.
Surviving are his wife, Theresa of Pasadena; a son, Max of Pasadena; two daughters, Nancy Noyes of Limestone and Rita Kelley of Pasadena; eight grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Sharp of Patten; a sister, Velma Higgins of Limestone; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at Pasadena, Calif.

Walter married Vera Lucretia Giggie, daughter of William Lester Giggie and Elizabeth Catherine "Lizzie" Hitchcock, on 20 Nov 1928 in Andover, Victoria, New Brunswick, Canada. (Vera Lucretia Giggie was born on 19 Jun 1909 in Fort Fairfield, Aroostook, Maine, United States and died on 1 Feb 2001.)
