LIMESTONE \emdash Stuart Winthrop Noyes, 63, died unexpectedly Oct. 22, 1987, at a Caribou hospital. He was born in Limestone, June 5, 1924, the son of Warren and Mary (Watson) Noyes. He was a graduate of Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield. After his graduation, he returned to Limestone to manage the family farm-machinery company for 25 years. He later became an officer and director in the Vahlsing family of companies. He served two terms in the Maine State Legislature, representing the town of Limestone from 1967 to 1970. He was a member of Limestone Masonic Lodge No. 214 and a member of Anah Temple Shrine of Bangor. He was senior warden and a devout member of the Church of the Advent (Episcopal) in Limestone and past president of the Limestone Rotary Club. In 1951, he was married to the former Nancy Sharpe. He is survived by his mother "Billie" Noyes of Limestone; one son, Stuart Warren Noyes of Boston; a daughter, Mrs. Jane Brown of Caribou; two grandsons, Jeremy and Joshua Brown of Caribou. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, Caribou. Memorial funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Advent (Episcopal), Limestone with the Rev. Elliott Gauffreau, pastor officiating. It is requested in lieu of flowers that contributions may be made to the Church of the Advent (Episcopal) in his memory. Stuart married Nancy Lee Sharp, daughter of Walter B. Sharp and Vera Lucretia Giggie, on 8 Nov 1951 in Maine, United States.
