MRS. ZELMA RAVEN
ALBION -- Mrs. Zelma Raven, 50, of the Pond Road, was dead on arrival at a Waterville hospital Friday following an automobile accident at Albion.
She was born at Ashland Nov. 18, 1918, the daughter of Rufus and Pheby (Wilcox) Gardner.
Survivors besides her husband, Herman Raven, include a son, Kenneth Raven, both of Albion; two daughters, Mrs. Patrick (Carol) Violette of Burnham and Mrs. Dorothy Trask of Albion; five grandchildren; a brother, Stanley Gardner of Thorndike; four sisters, Mrs. Donald (Eva) Furrow of Bath, Mrs. Verna Clark, Mrs. Eunice Giggey and Mrs. Guy (Elizabeth) Libby, all of Thorndike; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Pentecostal Church in Knox with the Rev. Herbert Pierce of Vassalboro officiating.
Friends may call at the Lawry Brothers Funeral Home in Fairfield, Saturday and Sunday, 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

Zelma married Herman Beecher Raven, son of John Edward Raven and Rose Ann Farley, on 4 Jun 1938 in Belfast, Waldo, Maine, United States. (Herman Beecher Raven was born on 18 Feb 1906 in Wade, Aroostook, Maine, United States, died on 9 Nov 1970 in Fairfield, Somerset, Maine, United States and was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Albion, Kennebec, Maine, United States.)
