SEARSPORT \emdash A driver who inadvertantly turned on his windshield washer while starting windshield wipers on his car was involved in a three car crash here moments later Monday but no injuries were reported.
Searsport police said Elwin Hustus, 35, of RFD 3, Belfast, was proceeding north on the Kidder's Point Road about 3:30 p.m. when his windshield fogged over and when Hustus reached for his windshield wiper control he turned on a washer which sprayed liquid on the glass and promptly froze.
His vision obscured, Hustus crashed into the rear of a 1962 model sedan operated by Carl Wood, 54, of the Mt. Ephraim Road, Searsport, and that vehicle then crashed into the rear of a 1959 model pickup truck operated by Herman Ladd, 57, of Swan Lake Avenue, Belfast.
The Wood and Ladd vehicles were halted in a line of traffic at the intersection or Route 1.
Police said damage to the rear of the pickup truck was $125; there was $1000 worth of damage to the front and read of the Wood sedan, and some $425 damage was caused to the front end of the 1961 model sedan operated by Hustus. His vehicle was owned by Dutch Chevrolet Inc. of Belfast.

HUSTUS-LINCOLN
A recent wedding at the Methodist parsonage was that of Elwin Francis Hustus Jr., of Belfast, and Miss Constance Margaret Lincoln, the Rev. Arthur F. Leigh reading the single ring service. The bride was attractive in a dress of pale blue, combined with red, and wore a string of pearls.
Mrs. Robert Hammons, matron of honor, wore a dress of soldier blue, with hat to match.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Francis Hustus of Belfast, and the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Winfield Lincoln, of Bangor. The young couple will make their home in Belfast.
