MORRILL -- Frank A. Carson, 91, died Tuesday in a Belfast hospital following a brief illness.
He was born at Mapleton, March 6, 1877, the son of George and Selena (Raven) Carson.
He had lived in Morrill for many years, and worked as a farmer. For the past two years, he had lived with his daughter, Mrs. Henry Littlefield, in Belfast.
Surviving are a son, Frank Jr. of Morrill; three daughters, Mrs. Ellen Hustus of Taunton, Mass., Mrs. Henry (Selena) Littlefield of Belfast, and Mrs. C. Vernon (Laney) Kenney of Belfast; one brother, Harry of Ashland; a half-brother, John Merry of Union; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Whipple of Oxbow; two half-sisters, Mrs. Berniece Gordon of Belfast and Mrs. Ruby Fields of Freeport; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Rackliffe Funeral Home in Belfast Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Norman C. Young officiating.
Burial will be in the Morrill Village Cemetery.

DIVORCE DECREED IN VACATION
James H. Cilley, clerk of the Supreme Judicial Court for Waldo county, has received from Judge Charles J. Dunn of Oronoa divorce case deferred from the April term on account of illness of the libellant. The case was Laney E. Carson vs. Frank A. Carson, Thorndike parties. The divorce was granted on account of extreme cruelty. The care and custody of their minor children, Ellen E., Selma A., Laney E., Edith M., Frank A., and Zelma B., were given to the mother and the father was to see them on suitable occasions.
