OXBOW, March 26 -- Fred James Fleming, 78, died at a Presque Isle hospital Wednesday morning after a long illness. He was born in Oxbow Feb. 23, 1880, the son of the late Thomas and Mary Ann (Botting) Fleming. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Vesta (Carson) Fleming, and one brother, Wilmon of Ashland. Friends may call at Stimson's Funeral Home in Ashland Thursday afternoon and evening from 3 to 9 o'clock. Funeral services will be held in the Stimson Funeral Home Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Manuel Snow of Masardis officiating. Burial will be in the Oxbow cemetery in the spring. Frederick married Vesta Ellen Carson, daughter of George Albert Carson and Selena Irene Raven, on 13 Dec 1905 in Ashland, ME.1 (Vesta Ellen Carson was born on 19 Nov 1879 in Mapleton, ME,9 10 11 died on 12 Aug 1963 in Presque Isle, ME 10 and was buried on 14 Aug 1963 in Swett Cemetery, Oxbow, ME.)
