The death of Miss Helen Flemming of Oxbow occurred on Friday afternoon at the home of Gilman Brewer where her parents were employed. Miss Flemming was twenty years old and was born at Ox Bow, Sept. 24, 1906, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Flemming. She had been ill for four years having had one foot amputated in that time but she was a very patient suffered [sic] and was bright and of good courage even to the end. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Ox Bow and were attended by a large number of relatives and friends. Rev. Albert Kettell spoke comforting words and duets were rendered by Mr. and Mrs. Kettell with Mrs. Ray Rafford at the organ.
 Miss Flemming is survived by her parents, and much sympathy is felt for them. Among those to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Boardman Stone, Ruby Stone, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Smith, Mrs. Wesley Baxter, Gilman Brewer, of this town, and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Carson of Limestone.
