THORNDIKE -- Leroy E. Carson, 75, of East Thorndike, died Wednesday, July 5, 1989, at a Waterville hospital. He was born in Dixmont Oct. 23, 1913, the son of George and Addie (Gordon) Carson. He was a veteran of World War II and had been employed in the Unity and Thorndike areas as a carpenter, laborer, and farm hand. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Unity. He is survived by two brothers, Ansel Carson of Ellsworth and Kenneth Carson of Thorndike; three sisters, Mabel Ogden of Stillwater, Doris Curtis of Unity and Florence Bragdon of Searsport; one Stepsister, Alice Nadeau of Old Town; one uncle, John Merry of Bangor; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Private graveside services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, Unity.
