 She was predeceased by two husbands, Harold Towers and Elbridge Cunningham; and a daughter, Mildred Gott. She is survived by a son, Robert Towers of Chelsea; three daughters, Vera Warren of Belfast, Margaret Kinney of Gardiner, and Flora Towers of Bucksport; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; a brother, Freddie Bailey of of Knox; a sister, Sadie Ward of Searsport; and a half-sister, Laura Higgins of Albion.
 Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. with David Abbott officiating. Interment will follow at the Grove Cemetery, Belfast. Friends may make memorial donations to the Waldo County General Hospital General Fund.
 
 Ava had a relationship with Herman Beecher Raven, son of John Edward Raven and Rose Ann Farley. (Herman Beecher Raven was born on 18 Feb 1906 in Wade, Aroostook, Maine, United States, died on 9 Nov 1970 in Fairfield, Somerset, Maine, United States and was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Albion, Kennebec, Maine, United States.)
