Michael Joseph Mccafferty, 38, died April 21, 1999, at Alaska Regional Hospital. A celebration of life will be held in Searsmont, Maine. Mr. McCafferty was born March 18, 1961, in Rumford, Maine. He had been a resident of Houston since 1986. Mr. McCafferty had attended the Baptist church and enjoyed boating and biking. His family said: ''Michael has touched the hearts of many people and had a lot of faith in God.'' He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Nancy McCafferty; brothers, Mark and John McCafferty; and sisters, Lisa Woods and Lorri Curtis. Arrangements were by Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary and Crematory.
