SHIRLEY L. KENNEY, 84 of Belfast, died May 10, 2009 at Bangor. She was born in Belfast on December 25, 1924, daughter of Irving and Freemetta (Paul) Ravin. She worked for over 25 years with her husband, Norman, in the Belfast Assessor's office while he was County Treasurer. She enjoyed music, dancing, and crocheting. She also enjoyed raising her gardens and canning. The family thought it important to note that she had been born on a special day which was Christmas, and she also died on a special day, Mother's Day.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Norman P. Kenney of Belfast; two sons, Brent Kenney of Waldo and Kevin Kenney and wife Adeline of California; her sister, Hazel Humphrey of Brooks; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Grove Cemetery, Belfast.
