BROOKS -- Irving H. Raven, 67, died Monday at a Belfast hospital following a long illness.
He was born at Washburn Feb 2, 1899, son of William and Rosanne (Farley) Raven.
He had resided here for many years and was a farmer. He was a member of the Marsh River Lodge of Masons here.
Surviving are his widow, Freemetta (Paul) Raven; two sons, Lyman of Brooks and Sherman of Reseda, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Humphrey of Brooks, Mrs. Shirley Kenney of Belfast; two brothers, Herman of Albion and Perley of Tilton, N.H.; a sister, Mrs. Etta Abbott of Thorndike; two half-sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Moody of Belfast, Mrs. Hazel Woodbury of Winter Harbor; 12 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; several step-sisters and step-brothers.
Funeral services will be held at the Brooks Congregational Church Wednesday at 2 p.m., Raymond Blaisdell officiating.
Marsh River Lodge will also conduct services.
Burial will be in Paul Cemetery, Waldo.
Friends may call at the Coombs Funeral Home, Belfast, Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m.

Irvin Hearl Raven and Miss Fremetta Paul, both of Knox, were married Saturday evening at the M.E. parsonage by Rev. Oscar G. Barnard. The single ring service was used. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Paul and was a member of the graduating class of Belfast high school class of 1924. She was one of the prize winners for efficiency in the commercial department. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Raven of Knox and is a millman. The bride wore her charming white graduation gown and the couple was unattended.
