He graduated from Monroe HS in 1945 and served in the U. S. Navy from Feb 25, 1946 to Dec. 24, 1947. He was a tool and die maker by trade and had retired from Aeroquip in 1985. He was a member of Van Nuys Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Virgil & Lana; daughter Sheryl & Marvin Tomlinson; son Irving & and Barbara; daughter Regina & Richard Recano; 12 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Shirley & Norman Kenney of Belfast and Hazel Humphrey of Brooks; sister-in-law, Polly Ravin of Brooks; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews.
He was predeceased by twin daughters Doreen and Noreen, son Ronald Ellis (22 months) and a brother, Lyman Ravin of Brooks.
Burial will be in Rose Cemetery.
