UNITY -- Frank D. Curtis Jr., 23, died en route to a Waterville hospital Sunday afternoon as a result of injuries suffered in a motorcycle-car collision.
He was born in Waterville, July 21, 1946, the son of Frank and Doris (Carson) Curtis.
He attended the local schools and graduated from Mt. View High School in 1965.
In the fall of 1965 he enlisted in the United States Army and spent 11 months in Vietnam. He was discharged in 1967. He has been an employee of Bayside Enterprises in Unity since his return from the service.
He is survived by his parents; one brother, Larry E. Curtis of Unity; a step-grandmother, Mrs. Lottie Carson of Knox; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Unity Union Church, with the Rev. George Fowler, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Pond Cemetery, Unity.
Friends may call at the Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, Pittsfield, Monday 7-8 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-8 p.m.
