HANCOCK -- Ansel G. Carson, 86, died on Feb. 17, 1998, at an Ellsworth health care facility. He was born in Thorndike on April 28, 1911, the son of George and Addie Lou (Gordon) Carson. Ansel loved woodworking at his home, making furniture for his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Natalie (Jellison) Carson of Hancock; one son, Raymond and his wife Joyce Carson of Troy; one daughter, Linda and her husband Earl Tracy of Hancock; five grandchildren, Scott and his wife Susan Tracy, Sarah and her husband Philip Kenney, Travis Carson, Tina and her husband, David Snow, Betty Tracy; one great-granddaughter, Connor Kenney; three sisters, Doris Curtis of Unity, Florence Bragdon of Searsport, and Alice Nadeau of Old Town, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth and Roy Carson; two sisters, Mabel Ogden and Ada Boulter. Friends may call at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 14 Elm St., Bucksport, 6-8 p.m. Friday, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Elizabeth Cole officiating. Donations may be made in his memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
