 WALDO -- Ellis Newcomb Moody, Jr., 57, died unexpectedly Sept. 28, 1992, at a Waterville hospital. He was born in Belfast on June 28, 1935, the son of Ellis N. Moody Sr. and Dorothy M. (Raven) Moody. He was a 1954 graduate of Crosby HS and a U. S. Army veteran. He worked as a longshoreman for ITO Corp. in Searsport until his retirement in 1986 due to disability. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed woodworking, gardening and golf. He will be especially missed by his dog, Sheba. Surviving, in addition to his parents of Belfast, are one son, Steven E. Moody and his wife, Janna of Waldo; one sister, Marilyn Batal and her husband, Edward of Lebanon, Maine; two nieces, Sonia Burbank of Lebanon and Pamela Sullivan of Lisbon Falls; many cousins. He will also be remembered by his former wife, Jo-ann Moody. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday Oct. 1, 1992, at Paul Cemetery, Waldo, with the Rev. R. Truman Fudge and the Rev. Clayton Wadsworth officiating. Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association, Maine Affiliate Inc., P.O. Box 2208, Augusta, Me. 04104.
