Doris Irene Rood, 83, of the Troy Road, Burnham, died unexpectedly Monday, August 7, 1995, at her home. She was born in Jackson, Feb. 15, 1912, the daughter of Emery and Ethel (Raven) Buzzell.
On Dec. 25, 1960 she married Frank Rood, who died Aug 19, 1985.
Doris was a member of the Burnham Baptist Church.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Brenda Floyd of England; two sisters-in-law, Thelma Bragg of Benton, and Hazel Spaulding of Winslow; special friends, Herbert and Gladys French of Jackson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services, but a committal service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 11, 1995, at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
Memorial donations may be made to the Burnham Baptist Church, Troy Road, P.O. Box 46, Burnham, ME 04922.
